We’re excited to welcome Sigal Posner to Clarity! With extensive recruitment experience and a genuine enthusiasm for connecting with people, Sigal brings a fresh perspective to finding exceptional talent for our team. She believes that successful hiring goes beyond qualifications—it’s about aligning candidates with the right culture and growth opportunities at Clarity.
Given the current job market, what are the top 3 qualities or skills you believe candidates must bring to stand out—and how do you assess them when you’re talent-scouting?
My top 3 stand out qualities are: an outgoing energy, someone motivated and strong communication skills. I like to break down the barriers between interviewer and interviewee, so we can have a genuine conversation about what makes you different, unique, and eager to be part of the Clarity team! These qualities will stand out beyond a resume if they’re your core values like they are ours!
What’s one recruitment trend or change you’re seeing in the finance & accounting space (or internal talent acquisition more broadly) that excites you or that you think will be a game-changer?
A trend that’s sticking out to me is the way social media is being utilized in the workplace! No, I don’t mean scrolling on TikTok and calling it research – I mean the way companies are pulling back the curtain and showing us the behind the scenes of the day-to-day operations. You can learn a lot by peeking into the function of a company and get a sense of what culture is like, their upcoming projects, or Q&As with leadership.
Can you share a personal story or example from your recruiting experience where you found a “hidden gem” and the impact that person made once placed?
I worked with a professional who was wonderful, but, as luck would have it, never actively looking to make a move. She was the epitome of a “hidden gem” – stable job, a senior level title; and loved her team. One day I decided to call her – no job description, no pitch, nothing but a friendly check-in. What started out as mere chitchat eventually transitioned into a conversation about a very new pain point – her family got a puppy. Her request was unique but not unheard of – “I need a remote role or an office that’s pet friendly”. Today, she works from home, with Chester on her lap and she couldn’t have been more thankful. Last I heard, she was thinking of getting another!
What first drew you to join Clarity Recruitment as our Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, and how do you see your role shaping our team and culture?
From the top performers who make up our team, to the industries we operate in, and the overall energy and philosophy – there’s so many reasons why I was itching to join the team as Clarity’s Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist. My goal is to maintain our strong reputation, meet incredible new people, and continue to spearhead our exciting innovations!
Outside of your 9-5 at Clarity what’s one passion or activity that energizes you – and how does it influence your work as a recruiter?
Something about me – I love to be creative, so I channel my energy into writing. Specifically, I love writing children’s books! So far, I’ve written two books and use my dogs, River and Storm, as the inspiration. Both are cute and colorful and follow my dogs on different adventures and teach different lessons along the way. I don’t claim to be Tupac, but my rhyming scheme can’t be beat!
