As a former FP&A professional, Shawn understands the numbers side of the business. Nine years ago he
transitioned into recruitment and hasn’t looked back.

With a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and 12 years of experience in audit and assurance, Domenico
Magnelli has a strong understanding of what it takes to succeed in the finance and accounting space.
Interestingly, however, it was his exposure to an entrepreneurial, sales-driven environment that made him
realize that audit and assurance was no longer a fit. His decision to leave his home in South Africa and
transition into recruiting, means that he understands what it’s like for candidates looking to change roles
or industries. He believes that recruiters can actively impact people’s lives, and he looks forward to
helping clients and candidates achieve their goals.
Hailing from the land of cups of tea and Buckingham Palace, Andrew Todd was born and raised in England where
he graduated with a degree in journalism. His education, with its emphasis on evaluating people's
experiences and telling their stories, made him a natural for the world of recruitment. In 2015 he accepted
a competitive position within executive search, diving into the depths of senior candidates careers and
achievements. Andrew’s passion for mapping markets, and his relentless commitment to leaving no stone
unturned, means that he excels in sourcing the best possible candidates for a role.
With over five years of experience in the accounting and finance recruitment space focused on the real
estate sector, Natalie uses her drive and motivation to provide an exceptional experience to her clients and
candidates. She ensures that every question is answered and all concerns addressed. To Natalie, this
approach builds trust and facilitates long-standing relationships, both of which have been key to her
success in the industry. With a BA from Dalhousie and by continuing her education at Ryerson University (HR
focus), Natalie is able to add increased value to both candidates and clients.
A huge fan of Wolverine and Iron Man, Claudia demonstrates her own superhero-like abilities each day at
Clarity. Besides the fact that she can flip a 186 pound tire at the towering height of 5’2”, she also
demonstrates a spectacular organizational acumen, keeping the Clarity office in shipshape condition. With a
BA, digital marketing certificate and past experience as a gym administrator, Claudia’s well-rounded
educational and work experience background allows her to be highly adaptable, solve challenges on the fly
and demonstrate strong creativity in our social media campaigns.
When you grow up watching sports, and your favourite team is the Toronto Blue Jays, you definitely get to
develop your personal tenacity and belief that hard work can still win the day. To Paul, perseverance equals
success, and results in connecting the right candidate with the ideal role. Add a Bachelor of Commerce into
the mix, and you have an individual who can act as a true business partner to an organization, while
effectively guiding a candidate through the challenging world of job search.
It’s hard to worry about the future when Andrew’s around; it seems like he’s living six months ahead of the
rest of the world. How else could anyone explain how much he can accomplish at once? Maybe it’s his focus:
Andrew thrives when he can apply himself single-mindedly to a task. He’s at his best when the pace is fast
and the work is dynamic, which might explain how he was able to start a successful artificial intelligence
company while continuing his great work at Clarity. As excited as Andrew is to see the fruits of his labour,

Sometimes, to find our passion, we take the road less traveled. For Jennifer, a certified teacher and small
business owner, this is certainly true. Now, as a Recruitment Analyst, she uses all of the skills that she’s
gained in her non-linear career journey to best effect. Recruiting fulfills her need to help others, to
think strategically as a business partner, and to satisfy her competitive drive to find the best possible
situation for both clients and candidates. Fluent in English and Spanish, Jennifer is a true lifelong
learner, and brings her enthusiasm, open-mindedness and innovative thinking to everything that she does,
including building success in others.
Annum’s background in the sciences quickly proved useful in her seven-year career in recruitment. She’s
constantly connecting dots and sharing the information she gains through her commitment to continuous
learning. Even so, it’s the people that make each day so exciting for Annum; after spending seven years
leading people through their careers and forming relationships in the process, she joined us to help place
and guide people within Clarity itself. Annum has never turned down the opportunity to lend a hand, and our
team at Clarity is stronger every day for it.
When you rescue a dog from the dog meat trade in Korea, and hail from a huge Italian family, it’s natural
that compassion and energy will be the key drivers in your personality. Couple that with a Bachelor of
Psychology, and you have a person who excels in the recruitment industry. A passionate recruiter, whose
track record of success includes a promotion to Division Director within a year and a half, Amanda believes
that relationship building, persistence and a desire to help people grow professionally, translates into
exceptional results for clients and candidates alike.
It’s said that some people have nine lives, particularly adventure athletes whose climbing, surfing or
biking exploits litter the pages of our magazines and advertisements. In Josh Barker’s case, the nine lives
reference relates to his genuine intellectual curiosity and desire to understand the “why” in situations.
It’s reflected in his education – philosophy and history – and also in how he recruits. To Josh,
understanding client and candidate motivation enables him to do his job more effectively - to create a
better fit between the client and the candidate, and to help others realize their potential. A voracious
reader, former competitive athlete and natural relationship builder, Josh believes that the more you know,
the better you do and his career choices - designed to refine his sales and recruiting expertise -
No half-measures – that’s the outlook Frank took with him throughout his career in accounting and
recruitment. Frank likes to analyse a situation thoroughly, understanding the nuances of each side before he
gets to work finding the perfect solution. It can be hard work, but that has never been a deterrent to
Frank; as long it is meaningful to the people he works with. At Clarity, Frank now directs his unwavering
efforts to help the candidates with employment challenges so that no one is left without support in the
pursuit of a fulfilling career.
One would think that with a Master of Accounting CPA, CMA and a minor in Human Resources Management, Ian
would follow a linear line in life. Not so. A passionate world traveller, who left his job, bought a one-way
ticket to Portugal and proceeded to explore 3 continents on his own, Ian’s career journey has been anything
but ordinary. At the same time, he’s worked in accounting and finance roles within the tech industry, as
well as for non-profits and consulting firms. In other words, he knows what it’s like to be on the other
side of the table as a job searcher. This has made him committed to his candidates, and his experience
travelling has fueled a desire to help others find their passion. With the open mind of someone who has
explored 42 countries, and an ability to listen and understand people’s goals, Ian is a rare sort of
recruiter – one who can disrupt the industry through an unwavering dedication to doing the best for his
candidates and clients.
